Surrendered his long term battle with congestive heart failure on January 13, 2018 at age 95. Born and raised in Westerly Rhode Island, he would fondly recall being the shortest man on his high school football team.
While in the military during WWII he married his high school sweetheart, Corinne. They were together until she passed 72 years later.
During his working years, William was an active member of his local Union 435 and proudly served as a steward for many years. His infectious smile and personality earned him the nickname "Mr. Charisma" among his cohorts.
William was predeceased by his wife, Corinne (Northrup). He is survived by his daughters, Patty Eleazer and Linda (Leonard) Marszall; granddaughter, Lisa (Ralph) Majchrzak; great-grandson, Cory Majchrzak; an older brother, Vernon Eleazer, and several nieces and nephews.
