Theodore Ziko Theodor "Ted, Teddy"

Peacefully passed away on February 19,2019 at age 80. Born on May 5, 1938 in Rochester, NY to Albanian immigrant parents. He is predeceased by his parents, Ziko and Krisanthi Theodor and sister, Thimika Nuni. He is survived by his loving sister, Arseno “Alice” Theodor, to whom he was devoted; his best friend, Bill George; niece, Athina Gussman and nephew, Thomas Nuni; great-nieces and great-nephew, Sherry Frye, Christine Rucinski and Harold Gusman, all of Gary, Indiana; cousins, Donika and Robert Timko, Helen Theodor, Erik Rhodes, John and Inez Sovjanic, and Dolores Bachandouris.

He graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School. Through years of attending night school he graduated from the University of Rochester with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He retired from a career with the Monroe County Water Authority.

He was treasurer of the Albanian Orthodox Church in Rochester during its years of existence.

Ted, while a man of few words, lived a life of kindness, exhibiting thoughtfulness and generosity. He was selfless and of high integrity; all of which endeared him to many.

Family will receive friends on Friday, March 1, 2019, from 5-7 pm, at Crawford Funeral Home, 495 N Winton Rd., Trisagion at 6:00 pm. Funeral will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at noon, presided by Fr. Michael Marcantoni and Fr. Angelo Maggos, at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 835 South Ave. Interment immediately following at Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Ted's name.
