Taeke Porte

January 26, 2021 at age 101. Born in Groningen, The Netherlands. Predeceased by his parents; wife, Grada; 2 sisters; & 1 brother. Immigrated to the USA in 1957. Survived by sons, Josh (Linda), Hans (Kathy) & Rene (Lori); 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; caregiver, Jackie Porte; many nieces & nephews in the Netherlands. He was a Dutch WWII Veteran who was personally presented the Mobilization War Cross, at age 100, by order of the Dutch Ambassador to the United States. 

Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, APRIL 24, 10 AM, at the Rochester Christian Reformed Church, 2750 Atlantic Ave., Penfield. There will be an opportunity to greet the family at a reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Rochester Christian School Foundation - Taeke and Grada Scholarship Fund, 260 Embury Rd., Penfield NY 14625.
