Born March 30, 1918 in Portland, ME and died March 30, 2021 at the age of 103 at the Friendly Home.
Predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Rev. Austin Bert Cheswell. Survived by her daughters, Carol (Gary) Cheswell Shepler and Nancy (Ed LoPresti) Budinger. Also survived by several nieces and a nephew; the extended LoPresti family: 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Rose was an avid homemaker, housewife, minister’s wife who was active in Rev. Cheswell’s church assignments in Niagara & Monroe Counties, seamstress and craftsperson. She knitted and crocheted thousands of mittens, lap robes, scarves, etc. over the years to donate to local churches and organizations.
Rose loved to travel and lived in Maine, California, Massachusetts, Colorado, as well as Brooklyn, Gasport and Rochester, NY. She loved camping and family vacations, especially in Maine near Pemaquid Point Lighthouse and in the Rocky Mountains.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rose's memory to the Friendly Home Employee Appreciation Fund, 3156 East Ave., Rochester 14618 or to a charity of your choice. A Memorial Service will be celebrated later this spring.
