Predeceased by her husband, Charles and infant son, Joseph. Survived by her children, Dr. Mary Tierney, Charles (Carolyn Slenska) Tierney, James (Nancy) Tierney, Kathy (Paul) Arnold, Norah (David) Howland; grandchildren, Kelli, Keith, Emily, Margaret, Sean, Gabriel, Colleen, Erin, Sarah, Matthew, Norah; 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to being a dedicated mother, Norah was a teacher with the Rochester City School District, a Scout leader, an active volunteer in her church, and a member of AAUW. Norah was an avid bridge player and a great cook / baker. She enjoyed being a hostess and spending time with friends, family, and neighbors.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 7, 10 AM, at St. Anne Church, 1600 Mt. Hope Ave. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Literacy Volunteers, 1600 South Ave. #100, Rochester 14620.
