Nancy Gell

Nancy Gell, age 83, from Pittsford, NY passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, after a brief illness. Born February 25, 1941, in Rochester, NY, Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Nancy graduated from SUNY Geneseo with her teaching degree in 1962 and retired from the Webster Central School District after 30 years. She had a love of gardening and travel and spent her retirement years tending her flower beds and seeing the sights in the United States and Europe with family and friends.

Nancy was predeceased by her husbands, Raymond Schultz and Richard Gell, her son Thomas Gell and daughter-in-law Margaret Gell. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Schultz) Wolfe; her sons, Danny Gell and Richard Gell (Ann); daughter-in-law Carla Gell; grandchildren, Hannah and Alec Wolfe, Kelly Ruff (Andy), Kate Gell, Ricky and Bryan Gell, Vera (Luke) Bourne and Michelle Gell, several great grandchildren; two sisters-in law, brother-in-law and many dear friends.

A mass will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Church, 64 S. Main Street, Pittsford with burial immediately following. The family would like to thank the caring staff at The Maplewood Nursing home for providing Nancy’s care and comfort during the past several years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Maplewood Nursing Home, 180 Daniel Drive, Webster, New York 14580.
