Matthew George Mitchell

Matt died among his family in Rochester, NY on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Predeceased by his father, James R. Mitchell.  Matt is survived by his mother, Jeanne; sisters, Holly and Heidi (Patrick); brothers, Jeffrey (Sherry) and James; nieces, Carly, Jacqueline, Kayla, Marlee and Molly; nephews, James and Kellen; stepmother, Kathy; stepsisters and brothers, Colleen, Sue, Carl and Leslie and loved ones in Washington, D.C.

Matt graduated from Paul Smith's College and RIT School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. A beautiful, kind man with a gentle soul. He took great joy being with friends, family and his fishing pole at Henderson Harbor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Verona Street Animal Society, PO Box 22874, Rochester, NY 14692. A Celebration of Matt's Life is planned for late April.
