Harber, Marjorie Langdon
Rochester: March 17, 2014 at age 97 after two years of health challenges which she met with great strength, a sharp mind & dignity. She passed peacefully from this world in the arms of her daughter, Betsy. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth E. Harber, and is survived by their 2 daughters, Susan (Dr. Larry) Shirland of VT, & Betsy (Richard) Harber of Rochester. Marjorie was a dedicated wife & mother, an avid bowler & was a volunteer for the American Red Cross for 50 years. She was a conscientious blood donor who gave over 50 gallons in 70 years. Marjorie assumed her late husband, Ken's, seat on the YMCA Board of Directors focusing on Resident Camps for 9 years.
It's very important to the family that the multitudes of caregivers know how important they have been to Marjorie and her family over the past two and a half years. With special thanks to the staff at Rochester General Hospital, Monroe Community Hospital, Hill Haven Nursing Home and Highland Hospital. Without the staff at the Ridge-Seneca Dialysis Group, Marjorie would not have had the last two and a half wonderful years.
Please join the family to share memories on FRIDAY from 4 - 7 PM at Crawford Funeral Home (495 N. Winton Rd., between Browncroft & Humboldt). Please consider honoring Marjorie with a donation to the American Red Cross. Online Condolences welcomed at: www.CrawfordFuneralHome.com
