Lorraine (Van Hall) Robinson

Lorraine Robinson, age 91, of Rochester, NY, passed away on April 1, 2021 due to complications from COPD.   She was born in Newark, New York the youngest daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Van Hall who emigrated from the Netherlands in the early 1900’s. 

Lorraine worked for 37 years for American Airlines where she was the Supervisor of the Midtown satellite office.  In October of 1966, she was awarded the prestigious Lady Rochesterian Award for her outstanding professionalism, business acumen and excellent customer service.  Lorraine was a member of Laurelton Presbyterian Church in East Irondequoit where she served as a Deacon. She enjoyed travel, bowling, bingo, and loved doing crossword puzzles and Sodoku.  She also loved music and live theater and sung soprano with the Rochester Oratorio Society in her youth.

Lorraine had a passion for “good food”.  She collected thousands of recipes over her life time and her kitchen was full of unique kitchen gadgets! She had a wonderful sense of humor and collected hundreds of jokes over the years that she would share with others to bring a smile to their faces.  

Lorraine will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Deborah Dudleston (Richard) of Citrus Heights, CA; her cousins Al & Susan Faro of Webster, NY; step-children Linda Androvich (Nicholas) of Mooresille, NC and Mark Robinson (Colleen) of Spencerport, NY; nephews Mason Lane of Stockton, CA; Thomas Lane (Frances) of Goodyear, AZ; Daniel Lane (Denise) of Lodi, CA, Gerald Rainy (Wanda) of Stockton, CA; and seven great nieces and nephews.
