Keith Peter Adams

Departed this earthly life June 17, 2022 at age 92. Predeceased by his beloved wife, June; his parents; and siblings, Clarence and Judy. Survived by his children, David (Sheryl) Adams of Rochester, NY, Holly Adams (Christopher Norton) of Hunt, NY; grandchildren, Scott (Ali) Adams, Jacqueline Adams, Melissa Adams, Dillon Kronert, and Tyler Westcott; great-grandchildren, Beatrice and Maxwell Adams; also nephews, nieces and cousins in Canada.

Keith was born September 25, 1929 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada to the late Edgar and Madeleine (McClinton) Adams. He married June Johnston, his high school sweetheart and love of his life, on June 13, 1953, and resided in Toronto, Ontario. Together with their children, they immigrated to Rochester NY in the early sixties, where Keith began Lockwood Mapping with partners from Canada. 

Keith was a cartographer and photogrammetrist whose business created topographical maps from aerial photography. Keith traveled the world, from mapping parts of the Amazon to roads in Burma (Myanmar), retiring at age 69 as president of the company. Keith was an extremely devoted family man. He spent many hours at the lakeside cottage he had built in Canada, bringing family together there for many decades. He loved wine, listening to and watching birds, planting flowers, listening to and crooning/whistling along with music and making his family laugh. He was both gentle and hilarious.

The family thanks the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation for their care over the past year and Livingston County Hospice for their support. A Celebration of Keith's Life will be held Thursday, 8/11, 1 PM, at Ellison Park's South Lodge (off Blossom Rd.).
