At age 80, Judy went gently to the Lord on Sunday, 8/01 after prolonged medical challenges. She is predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Evelyn Brawley, and brother, Charles Brawley. Survived by brother, Bernard “Tony”; half-brother, Paul J Brawley; and special friends, Ray & Margie Benza and their sons, Jason & Christopher (Alex) Benza.
Born in Somerville, MA, Judy received her education at St. Mary of the Woods in Indiana with a Masters in Music. She loved sharing that gift as a teacher and musician in Vermont before moving to Rochester as a Pastoral Associate at St. John on Humboldt Street, St. James and St. Ambrose parishes, now the Peace of Christ faith community.
Judy loved traveling and hiking in her younger years and is known for her deep faith, love of all things Boston, baseball, quick and honest wit, sense of humor, knitting and crocheting, sharing memories and being a kind friend.
Friends may call Thursday, 9:30-10:45 AM prior to her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at the Church of the Transfiguration, 50 West Bloomfield Rd., Pittsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of Providence, 1 Sisters of Providence, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, IN 47876.
