Former Bloomington, IN resident John (Jack) King passed away in Pittsford, NY on Christmas Day. With his wife, Julie he had been a longtime resident of Meadowood Retirement Community. He had served on the board of the IU Jacobs School Friends of Music and was a member of the Meadowood Workshop Committee. Gifts in his memory can be directed to the First Presbyterian Church, 221 E. 6th St., Bloomington, IN 47408.
Jack was also a former Manitowish Waters and Clear Lake resident. He was a former President and one of the founders of the Manitowish Waters Lakes Association. During his tenure King testified in Madison about the need for secure management of lake levels in the Manitowish Chain. He was also longtime volunteer at the North Lakeland Discovery Center.
