Rochester: Also of South Bend, IN on July 8, 2014.Predeceased by his parents Patrick & Delia Kennedy, his brother, Patrick Kennedy; & grandson, Colin Kennedy. Survived by his wife, Marie; 7 children, Patrick (Amanda), Martin (Laurie), Maura (Walter) Halloran of IN, John of FL, Jude (Peter) George, Matthew of Los Angeles, CA, & Deirdre (Erich) Won-Short; 24 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; his sister, Sr. Coneth Kennedy, RSM.
Born in Rochester John was a US Navy veteran during the Korean War; retired from DeRitter-Thurston Corp., former member of Blessed Sacrament Church. In South Bend he was active in the Prison Ministry, served as a substance abuse counselor, & was a docent at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at Notre Dame.
Please join the family to share memories on THURSDAY from 4 - 7 PM at Crawford Funeral Home (495 N. Winton Rd., between Browncroft & Humboldt). Funeral Mass FRIDAY 1030 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment White Haven Memorial Park.
