Predeceased by his son, John R. Griffith, III; parents, John and Gertrude Griffith; siblings, Peggy Griffith, Timothy Griffith, Beth (Chuck) Stappenbeck; father-in-law, Leo Nichols. John is survived by his wife of 42 years, Colleen Griffith; daughter, Carolyn (Tim) Clausen; granddaughters, Molly and Erin Clausen; brothers, Christopher, Joseph, and Mark Griffith; sister-in-law, Roberta Griffith; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (Amy) Nichols, Marianne (Dick) Bell, Karen (Richard) Doyle; mother-in-law, Margaret Nichols; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
John worked for 20 years at Eastman Kodak Company. Following his career there, he owned a landscaping and plowing business as well as working at St. James Church for over 25 years. When he wasn't working, John was always helping his family and friends.
Friends may call Friday, from 3-7 PM, at Crawford Funeral Home (495 N. Winton Rd.). A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, 10 AM, at Peace of Christ Parish at St. James Church. Interment at St. Bridget's Cemetery, Bloomfield.
