John Driscoll passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 16, 2025, after a short, yet courageous battle with cancer.
John is predeceased by his parents, Anne and William Driscoll, and by his sister, Margaret (Peggie) Sebolt. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joanne, his children, James (Amber), Katherine (Jay) Thompson, and Michael (special friend; Elizabeth Delehant), his beautiful grandchildren, Maddyn and Jason Thompson, his brother, Michael (Nancy), brother-in-law, Jon Sebolt, the Goodemote family, Joanne’s sisters, Brenda (Bill) Schmidt, Mariann Moll, Debbie (Nat) Yogachandra, and Michelle (Tom) Ellis, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and special neighbors.
John was a mail carrier in the Cobbs Hill neighborhood for 16 years. The family will receive friends to share memories on Thursday, August 21st at Crawford Funeral Home in Rochester, New York from 3-7pm. Funeral Mass Friday, August 22nd at 11 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Brighton. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his honor to the School of the Holy Childhood.
