Jane Durnin Chase

Jane passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the age of 82.  Survived by her four sons, Thomas (Melissa), Douglas, Michael (Daniela Almeida) and James (Andrea) Chase, as well as nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jane is remembered for always helping others and volunteering her time selflessly.  She loved assisting people with disabilities achieve home ownership while working at the Regional Center for Independent Living (RCIL).  She also volunteered for the League of Women Voters, the Rose and Joseph Denaro Interfaith Center, the State Coalition to End Lead Poisoning, and the Children’s Defense Fund, among other passions and pursuits.

Friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Crawford Funeral Home, 495 Winton Road North, Rochester.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Jane’s name to RCIL, 497 State Street, Rochester, NY  14608.
