Passing of George

I spent many years with George in 209th FA, NY Army National Guard.

He was a kind & gentle man...he also had a grea t sense of humor.

He will be missed by all. May is soul rest in peace.

To the family members of George DeRue:

We were saddened to hear of the passing of George. We was a dear friend - knowing him when he & Sadie lived in Prattsburgh. He was a great Prattsburgh Rotarian - having served as club president and secretary. He was recognized for his outstanding service to Prattsburgh Rotary when he was presented with a Paul Harris Recognition in April 2002.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad and difficult time.

I first met George back in the early seventies when I joined the National Guard. He was a friend of mine for many years, and I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with the family in this time of sorrow.
