Garrett G. Morse

Fairport: 

Passed away September 11, 2020 at age 86.  Predeceased by his parents, Florence and Herbert Morse; brothers, David, Richard and Theodore.  Gary is survived by his wife, Joan; sons, Steven (Kim) and Scott (Nancy); grandchildren, Kayla (Tim) Reilley, Kelly (Dustin) Canterbury, Austin and James; one great-granddaughter, Ruthie.  He also leaves one brother, Phillip. 

Gary, his father, and his brother Phil, ran three service stations for many years.  He then worked at Chase Pitkin until he retired.  Gary and Joan then spent 18 years in Florida before returning to Rochester.  Gary restored an old track car named "Casey Jones" that resides at the New York Museum of Transportation in Rush, NY, where he was a member for several years.  He loved old cars, especially his '39 Buick.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 1, 10 AM at Penfield United Methodist Church, 1795 Baird Rd. CDC COVID-19 protocols will be observed.  Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New York Museum of Transportation, PO Box 136, West Henrietta, NY, 14586 or Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY, 14450 (shorturl.at/ehY14).
