December 27, 2025 at the age of 88. Predeceased by his parents, Fred and Mae (Jones) Oliver and; his two brothers and four sisters. Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Carol (Acker) Oliver; children, Robin (Charles) Kreinsen, Alan (Sandra Bologna) Oliver, Christopher (Deborah) Oliver, Patrick (Maggie) Oliver; grandchildren, Charles, Benjamin, Amy, Erin, Kelly, Thomas, Daniel, Madeline, Timothy and Andrew; seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eugene was a proud Veteran of the US Army and retired after a long career at Chase Bank. He loved to woodwork, enjoyed volunteering at many worthwhile organizations, including Boy Scout Troop 37 in Rochester and the Shepherd Home Hospice in Penfield, and sharing the company of his many friends fishing, golfing and socializing. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his very large close-knit family. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Friends may call to the funeral home (495 N. Winton Rd.) Friday, January 2nd from 4-7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held January 3rd at 9 am at St. John the Evangelist Church (553 Humboldt St., Rochester). Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery (Penfield). In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Gene's name to the Shepherd Home Hospice.
