Elizabeth "Libby" Smith

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Elizabeth “Libby” Smith on December 18, 2024. She was born in Norwich, NY on December 15, 1943. She was predeceased by her parents, Varnelle Smith and Dorthea Bartlett Smith.

Libby was a graduate of Geneseo College. Early in her career she was a librarian in the Webster School System. Libby was then employed by Xerox Corporation as a Librarian. After retirement she enjoyed reading, travel and genealogy.

She is survived by her wife, Maureen Paul; and brother, Truman Smith.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2024 at Covenant United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Libby’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Make-a Wish Foundation.
