Betty and Bill lived in West Irondequoit for over sixty years and were active members of Third Presbyterian Church on East Avenue in Rochester. Betty loved her garden and was a twenty-year participant in the Great Backyard Bird Count Project supported by Cornell University and the National Audubon Society. She and Bill spent many happy hours traveling as birdwatchers. She also loved music, especially opera, and played the piano and trombone, as well as hand bells. Betty volunteered with the Camp Fire Girls when her daughters were members, Literacy Volunteers of Rochester, the Food Cupboard at Third Presbyterian Church, and the Rochester Birding Association. She loved playing games with her family members and bridge with her friends. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
