Predeceased by son, Jeffrey Earl Carrigan; and sisters, Mary Whittaker and Frances Gnage. Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Carol; sister, Esther Myers; children, Cathy Carrigan (Paul) Lienemann, Patricia (Ben) Damon, Christopher (Casey) Carrigan, Amy (Michael) Hutchison; grandchildren, Nicholas (Emily) Goossen, Brian (Tara) Goossen, Christopher (Laura) Goossen, Elliot Damon, Christopher, Aaron, and Jude Carrigan, Nathan, Riley, and Aine Hutchison; great-grandchildren, Elaine, Lucas, Leo, and Connor Goossen, Maxwell, Weston, and Elijah Goossen.
Earl served in the U.S. Army and was a graduate of Cornell University. He retired from Rochester Telephone Co. after 35 years of employment.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, December 18, 1 PM, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 553 Humboldt St., with a reception to follow. Private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport 14450 or a charity of your choice.
