Passed away suddenly on October 6, 2022 at the age of 81. Predeceased by his mother, Elsie (Goethals) Kennard; father, Gerald Kennard; brothers, Danny and Robert Kennard; sisters-in law, Barbara Kennard and Maureen Kennard; niece, Susan Kennard; and nephew, David Kennard. Doug is survived by long time companion, Peggy Buckel; brother, Gerald R Kennard; sister in-law, Lona Kennard; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Doug worked as a punch press operator. Doug was an avid fan of the Red Wings, Rochester Amerks and the Buffalo Sabres. He liked old movies, going to the casino and lottery scratch off tickets. Most of all, he enjoyed going to picnics and parties with his family and friends.
Friends may call Monday, October 10, 10-11 AM at the funeral home (495 N. Winton Rd.) where a Memorial Service will follow. After the service, there will be an Interment at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd., Pittsford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport 14450.
