Dolores “Lola” Rivera Muñoz, 89, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026. She was a long-time resident of Rochester, NY. Born in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico.

She was the beloved wife of the late David Muñoz, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a life founded on faith, love, resilience, and devotion to family. The greatest blessing was raising their children and creating a home filled with warmth and compassion.

Dolores is survived by her children: Sarah Muñoz-Bauza (Ariel Bauza), Hadassah Muñoz, Adelia Muñoz, John David Muñoz (Jeffery Scott McPherson), Dinah Muñoz-Parham (David Parham), Soldeina Muñoz, Laura Elena Muñoz-Thompson (Erin Thompson), Andrew Reuben Muñoz (Melanie Raimondo), and Peter Thomas Muñoz; daughter-in-law, Jackie Muñoz . She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Muñoz, and her cherished son, Samuel David Muñoz.

She was the proud grandmother of Samuel A. Muñoz Jr., Diana Elisiah Muñoz, Sol A. Muñoz, Luz-Maria Muñoz, Ethan Stone Kennedy, Ishaan Adam Thompson, Isabella Muñoz, Paloma Muñoz, Daniel McCathan Muñoz, Rachel Serena Santiago, Michael James Sanitago, Laura Elizabeth Sanitago, and Anthony David Santiago, and Arielle Simone Bauza. She was also blessed with her beloved great-granddaughter, Alina Jayden Santiago.

Dolores will be remembered for her unwavering faith, quiet strength, generous heart, and unconditional love for her family. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and devotion to those she loved will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Crawford Funeral Home, 495 N. Winton Road, Rochester, NY 14610.
