Rochester: December 21, 2013. Predeceased by her husband, The Rev. Robert C. Newell. She is survived by her children, Tamara Newell of Evanston, IL, Kent (Miyako) Newell, Scott (Donella) Newell of Houston TX & their children, Blake, Evan, Charles, & Andrew; & Brad (Mary) Newell & her son Chris; sister-in-law, Carol (Dr. James) Hazelrigg of Tacoma WA; brother-in-law , Dr. Clarence Newell of Silver Springs MD; also nieces & nephews. She worked as a secretary in the library at R.L. Thomas H.S. in Webster, NY.
A private family service & interment will be held. Please consider honoring Bettemae with a donation to Candle Lighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance (8323 Southwest Freeway, Suite 435, Houston TX 77074) or Rochester General Hospital Dialysis Patient Aid Fund (370 E.
