Barbara A. Melder

April 8, 2023. Suddenly at the age of 85. Predeceased by her great-grandson, Rory Lochner and daughter, Laurann Lochner. She is survived by her daughter, Tara Lochner (Mary Frances LaBarre); son, Dan Lochner (Elena Bermundz); grandchildren, Susan Lochner, Robert Ziegler, Elizabeth Porcello, Heather Ziegler (Vic Hall), Emily Mattys (Daniel); loving great-grandchildren; brother, John Melder (Mary Ellen); nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers.

Barbara was a dedicated long-time employee of over 40 years with the University of Rochester as a nurse practitioner. 

Friends may call Friday, April 14 from 5-7PM at the funeral home (495 N. Winton Rd.). A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 15, 10AM at the funeral home. Interment at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to K9 Orphans, Inc., c/o K9 Playtime, 410 Atlantic Ave, Building 5, Rochester, NY 14609.
