Anne M. Kelly

Peacefully on October 24, 2023 at age 96.

She is predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert; parents, John and Bridget Connaughton; and siblings, Michael, Frances and William.

She is survived by her children, Sean, Patricia (Peter Valianatos) and Paul (Shawn); granddaughter, Olivia (Billy Fagan.) Anne was blessed throughout her life with an abundance of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends in Ireland, England and at home.

Together with her husband Robert, Anne emigrated from Roscommon, Ireland and settled in Rochester, NY in 1949.

Anne was a Gaelic speaker and proud owner of a Fainne. She never lost her brogue, and enjoyed over 20 trips to Ireland. Anne was a 70 year member and Past President of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, a co-founder of the Irish American Cultural Institute, and the Colonel Patrick O'Rorke Society. Anne was a parishioner at St John The Evangelist Church for 67 years.

Friends may call Friday, October 27, from 4-7 PM at the funeral home (495 N. Winton Rd.). A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 28, 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 553 Humboldt St., Rochester 14610. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 10727, Rochester 14610.
