Born May 20, 1962 in Rochester, Ann passed away suddenly at age 58 on the morning of October 31, 2020 at Rochester General Hospital.
Ann is survived by her father, Alan and stepmother, Joan of Honeoye Falls; brothers, Eric of Syracuse, Mark (Kelly) of Queensbury, Andy (Mary) of Bethesda MD; sister, Amy of Stockton CA; aunt Sr. Joanne SSJ of Pittsford; nieces, Emily, Katy, Anna; and nephew, Henry. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ellen.
Ann graduated from Alfred State University with an associate degree in secretarial science in 1982. Ann fought continual battles with various health issues for most of her adult life but was always upbeat with a kind disposition. Over the past several years while a resident at Hill Haven Nursing Home, she could usually be found playing cards, chatting with friends, and certainly never missed a bingo game. Even on the night before her passing, she was wheeling around her unit passing out Halloween candy. Ann was famous for texting corny jokes on the family group chat. She was an avid Yankees and Cowboys fan but also had a soft spot for the Bills. The family would like to thank the staff at Hill Haven for the care and support they provided to Ann over the years.
A Private Service was held for family members on November 4 followed by Interment at Ascension Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting you consider a donation in Ann’s memory to Habitat for Humanity at give.rochesterhabitat.org.
