Ann was born in St. Marys, Pennsylvania where she spent the first chapter of her life. As fate would have it, she and Dennis were brought together in many ways throughout those early years. They were born in the same hospital a week apart, baptized on the same day in the same Church, attended elementary school together, and even made their First Communion and Confirmation together. Destiny would take them into their second chapter together here in Rochester. Blessed with 5 kids and 9 grandkids, family was the center of her world. Lovingly known to most as Nana, her role of grandma was one she definitely did not take lightly. She had a calendar full of games, races, concerts, award ceremonies and everything in between. She also enjoyed reading, relaxing on her front porch, and going for drives. Family gatherings weren't complete without a game of Yahtzee or UNO.
Whether you were family by blood or simply adopted into our madness, she loved deeply. If you were celebrating, struggling, or even just needed a little "thinking of you energy" she found a card for that and let you know you were important to her.
Her candy dish was always full for you to "fill your pockets" before saying goodbye. Now our "pockets" are forever filled with all the memories of Nana's love, laughter and thoughtfulness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 6th at 11 am at St. Ambrose Church (25 Empire Blvd., Rochester). Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
