Allen was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing at Strong Hospital. Predeceased by parents, Clarence VanVoorhis, Sr. and Alice VanVoorhis; brother, Ralph VanVoorhis. Survived by siblings, Leora Brown, Clarence (Jill) VanVoorhis, Jr., Muriel Buchman, John (Jonnalyn) VanVoorhis, Debra (Willie) Floyd; many nieces and nephews; longtime companion, Carolyn Parmenter.
Friends may call Thursday, February 17, 4-7 PM at the funeral home (495 N. Winton Rd.). A Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 18, 11 AM at All Seasons Chapel, White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Special Olympics, 1 Grove St. #216, Pittsford 14534.
