Together with their children they moved to Rochester NY in 1962. She worked as a secretary at Strong Memorial Hospital in several capacities. Upon her retirement she was a long time volunteer at the Rochester Friendly Home, where she later became a resident herself.
June adored her family and loved spending time at the family cottage in Canada. She was well-traveled, enjoying time spent in Europe, Portugal and Florida. June loved music, theater, gardening and flowers. She was a friend to all, an amazing hostess and had a way of making everyone feel welcome and special. June gave of her time and energy to children, the elderly, and those in need throughout her life.
The family gratefully thanks the amazing Rochester Friendly Home staff, past and present, for their wonderful care over the past 5 years. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Those wishing to do so may make contributions to the Open Door Mission, PO Box 14236, Rochester, NY, 14608.
