Irene J. Szczepanski

Irene Jane Szczepanski (ne’e Stasczak) died in the Strong Memorial Hospital hospice on December 29, 2017 due to complications from a stroke.  She was 94.  Her love, kindness and totally positive view of life was a lifelong gift to her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Bob (Karen) of Orange Park, Florida and Tom (Penny) of Penfield.  Daughters, by marriage, Debby and Sue; son-in-law, Rich Friedman of Fairport. She is also survived by her brother, Rich Stasczak (Nancy) of Matthews, NC; five grandsons and three great- grandsons. She is preceded in death by her loving daughter, Joanne (Fletcher); husband, Matthew and her brother, Edward Stasczak.

Friends may call Wednesday, January 3rd from 4-7 PM at the funeral home (495 Winton Rd. N.). A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, 10 AM at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 1124 Hudson Ave. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Irene’s life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Jewish Home of Rochester.
