December 9, 2019. Casey is survived by his sisters, Lena (Peter) Veenje, Jackie (George) Kuipers, and Alice (Gary) Harris; brother, Auke (Betty) Verbree; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Adrian and Corrie Verbree, and an infant brother, Herbie.
Casey attended Rochester Christian School and graduated from the Edison Technical School. He worked as a draftsman at Caldwell Manufacturing and Eastman Kodak, and in commercial building maintenance at Rochester Industrial Center before he was diagnosed with a heart condition that put him on disability.
Casey was a good soul who loved and was loved by his family and friends. He was an avid collector of HO cars, an amazingly skilled builder of radio-controlled cars and vehicles, and the proud owner for over 40 years of his beloved 1965 Oldsmobile 442 convertible which he enjoyed taking to many cruise nights and car shows during the summers.
Casey was a man of faith, and he knew where he would be spending eternity. He would speak freely of his faith and loved to sing and listen to all kinds of Christian music, along with country tunes and Celtic Woman concerts on TV. He will be missed by his family and many friends from the classic car and RC car communities, and his friends and neighbors at Phillips Village.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 14, 10 AM at Rochester Christian Reformed Church, 2750 Atlantic Ave., Penfield. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rochester Christian School Foundation, 260 Embury Rd, Rochester, NY 14625, or at https://www.myrcsf.org/.
