SOCIAL SECURITY SURVIVIOR BENEFITS may be available to a survivng spouse or dependent child of the deceased.

The funeral director will file a Notice of Death with the Social Security Administration.

A death benefit of $255 may be available. An application to receive survivor benefits is required.
