Area Bereavement Groups

Many agencies and organizations offer bereavement support groups for members of our community.  Please contact the organization offering group meetings to ensure there is room available for you to participate.

 There are too many Monroe County area support groups to list them all.  However, the links below will help you get started in locating a support group that will benefit you.

Lifetime Care- Our programs are open to hospice families and the general community.  All groups meet at the Center for Compassion and Healing, 311 Winton Rd. South, Henrietta- unless another location is identified.  Please call (585) 475-8825.

Lifetime Care is now offering an eight week Bereavement Support Group for Children, Teens and their Families.  A Caring Place was created to provide children, teens and their families a safe place to come together to receive support and comfort in their grief and to learn effective ways of coping with their feelings and experiences of loss.  Please call 475-8825 to register or visit www.lifetimecare.org for more information.

Peace of Christ Parish- Our bereavement group is open to adults 21 years and over who have lost a loved one through death.  In addition to Peace of Christ Parish, the group is open to anyone living in, or visiting the area.  All are welcome.  Please call office for meeting dates and times (585) 288-5000.  To see pamphlet please click here
